Eventbrite alternative: a flat rate instead of a fee per ticket
According to its own help centre, Eventbrite charges 5.5 % per ticket sold, plus €0.99 per ticket on the Professional package — and your guests’ money flows through the platform. VidiReserve: a fixed monthly price from €9.90, 0 % commission, payment straight to you.

Eventbrite is free for free events. As soon as you sell tickets, a service fee applies according to the Eventbrite help centre: 5.5 % per ticket sold on the Essentials package, 5.5 % plus €0.99 per ticket on Professional. By default your guests pay this fee on top — or you absorb it.
For businesses in Germany, VAT is added to the service fee. And your guests’ money flows through Eventbrite: payouts are made after the event has ended, not at the time of booking.
Worked example: 30 seats at €45 for a cooking class — on the Professional package that is roughly €104 in fees for this one evening, VAT not included.
VidiReserve works differently: you pay a fixed monthly price based on package size — from €9.90 — and nothing else. Your guests pay via Stripe, PayPal or SumUp straight to you, with no platform in between.

What 0 % commission means for your event
With VidiReserve the price per seat is your price: whether €15 for a wine tasting or €120 for a workshop — nothing goes to us. The monthly price depends on the size of your business, not on your revenue.
Your payment provider’s fees remain, of course — Stripe, PayPal and SumUp charge their transaction costs as they do everywhere. But you pay those to the provider of your choice, not additionally to a ticketing platform.
And because the money lands directly with you, there is no payout to wait for: the deposit for the wine tasting is in your account on the day of booking.

To be fair: reach is Eventbrite’s strong point
Eventbrite is a marketplace. Someone searching there for “cooking class Berlin” can find your event without knowing you. For public ticketed events with an unfamiliar audience that is a real advantage — one you pay for with the fee per ticket.
Most wine tastings, courses and workshops, however, live on regulars, recommendations and your own website. For those, a booking page under your name, with your widget and your profile, is the better tool — and you can keep using Eventbrite for the occasional large event.
