How payment works

From booking to invoice

Payment mode per offer

For each event or class you decide when guests pay: on site on the day, as a deposit or the full amount in advance.

Your guest pays at the provider

Via “Pay now” your guest reaches a payment page in the language of their booking, picks the provider and pays there. On “Payment received” the booking is paid immediately.

Payments overview and invoice

Under Payments every online payment is listed with provider, amount, status and reference. If invoicing is set up, your guest automatically receives their invoice as a PDF once paid.

Bank transfer: your guest reports, you confirm

If you have stored bank details, your guest reports via “I have transferred the amount” once they have paid. You check your account and confirm the payment received – the booking then counts as paid.

Your money goes straight to you

Payment runs at the provider

The money goes straight into your own account with Stripe, SumUp or PayPal. VidiReserve never receives the money, never forwards it and takes no commission.

No card details at VidiReserve

Your guest enters card and account details exclusively at the payment provider – the payment page points this out as well.

Fees according to the provider’s terms

You pay the provider’s fees yourself – your terms with Stripe, SumUp or PayPal apply. You also set the payment and cancellation terms towards your guests yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which ways of paying can I offer?

Online via Stripe, SumUp and PayPal: you enable one, two or all three, and your guest picks one on the payment page. Bank transfer and cash remain possible as well. Nothing changes for table reservations – restaurants that also run events use online payment just like event providers.

How does a bank transfer work?

Next to your IBAN there is the link “I have transferred the amount”; your guest enters the date of the transfer there. The report is not yet a payment: if the money has arrived, click “Confirm payment received” on the booking – if nothing came in, click “Reject report”.

Can customers pay for vouchers online too?

Yes. Your customers pay for purchased vouchers online with your provider or by bank transfer; a reported transfer shows up right on the voucher order. If a purchase is withdrawn, an online payment is refunded automatically.
