Many reservation systems look cheap at first glance because they bill per guest. According to its own pricing, OpenTable charges €1.50 per network guest, plus a 2% service fee since 2026. TheFork is around €1.50 to €2 per cover depending on the plan, and gastronovi charges €0.49 per guest on its pay-per-guest plan.
The problem: these costs grow with your success. The busier your restaurant, the higher the bill — without the reservation software doing any more for you. At 500 referred guests per month, €1.50 per guest is already €750, more than €9,000 a year. And it is hard to plan: in January you do not know how busy December will be.
