POS integration (orderbird)
Connect your POS to VidiReserve so revenue flows automatically into the reports and reservations are closed by themselves after the receipt is printed. Supported systems include orderbird, SumUp and other POS systems.
Add-on β requesting activation
The POS integration is a paid add-on and is not part of the plans. It is unlocked per business β during the trial period as well.
As long as it is not unlocked, the menu entry Settings β POS Integration stays visible and leads to an info page. That page explains what the integration does and holds the Request activation button. We then get back to you with the price and the steps involved; the request itself is free of charge.
Depending on your setup additional hardware is needed β for example a SumUp terminal or a suitable orderbird setup. We clarify exactly what you need together with you beforehand. Once the add-on is unlocked, the settings described below become available.
Connect the POS
Open Settings β POS Integration (after activation).
- Enable the POS integration via the switch.
- Generate an API key. For security reasons it is shown in full only once β copy it right away and enter it in your POS system.
- Set the completion timeout: this is how long after the receipt is printed the reservation is closed automatically.
Table mapping (aliases)
Your POS often uses its own table names. In the Table mapping section you link these names as aliases to your VidiReserve tables. Names that the POS has sent but that are not yet mapped to a table appear as clickable hints; in addition the system automatically suggests matching tables.
SumUp card payment
If you use SumUp for card payments, enter the SumUp API key and the merchant code. With this, VidiReserve assigns card payments to the correct account. You can regenerate the POS API key at any time if it is ever exposed β the old key stops working immediately, so remember to update it in your POS system afterwards.
