Day view
The day view shows your day as a grid of tables and times β each row is a table, each column a 30-minute time slot. This lets you see at a glance which table is occupied when and where seats are still free. You open it via Day View in the sidebar.
Reading the grid
Reservations appear as coloured bars that span the booked time. The colour shows the status (confirmed or pending); blocked tables are marked as Blocked. Use the date arrows to page one day forward or back, and Today to jump to the current day. If the business is closed, a note points this out. Tables are grouped by section; via "Show more tables" you expand additional tables.
Creating with a click
- Click an empty cell at the desired table and time.
- In the quick-create window enter guest and party size.
- Save β the reservation appears immediately as a bar in the grid.
Editing & moving
A click on a reservation bar opens editing β there you change time, duration, party size or the status. You can also drag bars directly in the grid to move a reservation to another table or time, or grab the edge to lengthen or shorten the duration. After saving, only the grid refreshes β the page no longer reloads completely and no longer jumps back to the top. All changes are immediately visible to your whole team.
This works with your finger just the same: on tablet and phone tap a bar briefly to edit it, or drag it to move it to another table or time; drag the right edge of the bar to lengthen or shorten the duration. To page sideways through the times, swipe across the grid next to the bars. Combining several tables into one reservation works on a tablet via editing (add/remove tables), and on a computer additionally via Ctrl + drag.
Spotting conflicts
Because all tables and times sit next to each other, you see overlaps immediately: two bars on the same table at the same time stand out at once. This helps you spread guests evenly and avoid double bookings. For the room perspective instead of the timeline, switch to the Floor Plan Live.
